about WOB
Women on Board is an independent initiative whose purpose is to acknowledge, value and promote corporate environments in which women are part of the board of directors or at advisory councils, to showcase the benefits of such diversity both to the corporate world and to the community in general.
WOB certifies companies that have at least two (2) effective women on the board of directors.
The purpose of the certification is to acknowledge good practices in corporate environments, as well as to track the benefits businesses enjoy as a result of diversity in the leadership positions. Diversity is a strategic and key asset for businesses that wish to take on a leading role in efficiency, creativity and ESG practices.
how does WOB work?
The WOB stamp is free of charge. Our administrative costs with technical evaluation, organization and issuing of certification (trophies and certificates) are R$ 3,000, paid in a single fee at the time of joining.
DASH. The year is 2023, and this is the percentage of black women directors on public traded companies in Brazil according to a study by ACI Institute, from KPMG. Dash. It’s not 1%. It’s not 2%. It’s not 3%. It’s dash. In a country where 25% of the workforce is made up of black women. That’s why WOB, together with Conselheira 101, expresses publicly its concern about this gap that exists in companies. Every year, Conselheira 101 trains dozens of black women to serve as directors on boards. They are prepared and ready.
